This setup mirrors the workflow you already know:
- Audio goes out from your encoder to the captioning service
- Caption data returns to your encoder in real time
Only now, ASR handles the task instead of a live caption writer and delivers human-like accuracy, contextual awareness, and significant cost savings.
Workflow
- SDI input with audio goes into the Orion caption encoder.
- IP Audio goes from the Orion caption encoder to the Aberdeen ASR cloud server.
- Caption data comes out of the Aberdeen ASR cloud server back to the Orion caption encoder.
- Captions come out of the encoder to the SDI outputs for open and closed captions.
- Optionally there can be captions, subtitles, and natural voice translations to a personal mobile device.

With the Link LEI-592P, even non-IP encoders can be upgraded to support ASR and translation through a seamless cloud workflow—no need to replace or rewire your existing hardware.
